Using decking as a base for a hot tub

Decking can be used for many purposes within your garden including providing an area for a hot tub or summerhouse to be placed upon. You must remember however that the design of the decking will need to be very different if placing a hot tub onto it that could weigh several tonnes, when compared with a decking structure that will only be used as a seating area. It is important if you intend to use your decking as an area for a hot tub, that you get a structural engineer to design the decking structure so that appropriate strength timber is used.
